About Giclées
Why the archival pigmented Giclée?
This new technology is so advanced today that the fine quality of the archival-pigmented giclee makes it hard to see the difference from an original.
This Giclée process is archival because we use pigmented ink and museum quality media. Along with the proper environment and archival picture framing the stability of this Giclée is guaranteed for lasting heirloom quality.
Dye-based ink versus pigmented ink has been an issue that is debated over and over. Dyes are water-soluble and will fade over time; pigment is molecularly solid, similar to the pigment artists create with. Therefore, fade-resistance occurs with pigment and the archival Giclée will last for years and years, just as original paintings do.
If Monet, Renoir, Picasso, and other great masters had this wonderful Giclée technology available during their lifetimes, we feel they would have been as excited to reproduce their work.
